Me? It's either not much or it's too much ... you be the judge. I finished my Christmas gift shawl and now I'm floating around in "No Project I Like" land. Here they are all lined up -- look how they had to move from the arm chair to the love seat there are so many.
First on the left is a feather and fan scarf out of Outback Mohair from my stash -- this one's been on the shelf since last spring, so I got it out thinking it would distract me? All the pretty colors? But I can't find the book (you know the one shaped like a scarf, real colorful?) and I can't decipher the pattern through the mohair. Next are the socks I cast on out of Cherry Tree Hill potluck (did I forget to tell you about that ?) because I was jealous of Dani's instant gratification -- 4 socks in like a week out of worsted...I don't think I'm in the mood for socks...even really fast ones. Next, I've ripped my Silver Shadow Shrug
back to the cuff decreases.
It
was too short, only hitting about mid arm. I finished it in the car
over the holidays and didn't have the wherewithal to measure it
properly. Since I was determined to finish it on that trip (stubborn),
I went ahead and ribbed the opening, eventhough I knew it was wrong. I
thought maybe I could give it to one of my sisters. But I couldn't. I
love the colors too much.
Although they both want one,
chocolate for
one and red for the other. Next over, I've cast on Jaywalkers in the new Bearfoot (did I forget to mention
that too?) that someone returned at the shop and I couldn't let just stay
there alone all weekend so I brought it home. Crazy Woman colorway. Meh, again. 3 inches into the leg, and I'm really not in the mood for socks right now, I guess. (What is wrong with me?) Next to that is my sweatshirt out of Patagonia Nature Cotton. Meh. The body fits fine, so the sleeves will be no problem, they're just boring. Good ol' boring stockinette -- perfect for watching movies with Dear Husband, though. (Last night, The Longest Day). I've swatched the Backyard Leaves Scarf from Scarf Style in Louisa Harding's Fauve. Love the yarn, love the scarf, can't knit it right now. Ripped it three times so that's not pictured. Last are the Candy Cane sock yarn from Dani and a sock from a kit from the knitter.com 's Sock of the Month Club that I worked on over Christmas, but it's purple and gold...very festive. And I don't feel festive right now. They'll have to wait for Mardi Gras.
The guilt of all this yarn lined up should be crushing, no? I should be staying up nights, finishing what I've started and accomplishing something, right? Instead, spoiled rotten knitter that I am, I'm looking around the proverbial candy store, waiting for something to get me going...wishing my shawl wasn't done so I could work on it but not wanting to start another...Ever done this before? So...maybe I'll go take a walk. God knows, I can't knit!
Hmmm -- I think you need to start a new project. I am working on a scarf and the same blasted sleeve on that green sweater. I want to finish it -- just so I can go on to something else.
