oh that vest is just so lovely! I´ve been reading the pattern, wondering if I can make it into a tunic length by adding some stitches and having more of the decreases. but then again, my ToDo list is so long already that I doubt I´ll get to this before the style is outdated.

Gauge is a fabulous thing as is your vest! I had a knitter tell me last week that she did not believe in gauge. I am still giggling to tell the truth.

Your post gives me hope that I am not the only one who knits and reknits and finds that a more careful scouring of directions might have circumvented the entire dilemma. Or not.
