Lots of times I come up with a way to link seemingly random bits into a coherent post. Today? I got nothing.
Do you check your blog stats? I do. I like to see where folks come from to read my posts. For instance, linking my posts to facebook results in 18 or 20 hits per post. As does linking my blog to Ravelry, the venue many of my knitting friends use to keep up on their blogs. Eight or ten visitors a day come from listings of my blog in the blog rolls of others or from comments I've made on other blogs. Yesterday though? Twelve hits spaced out over 36 hours were from a google search which turned up the same image of Monte (the search was: brown lab husky mix) from when he was a puppy. I've tried to reverse the search and find out where the image is linked, but I can't. Just wondering.
It's not even a very good picture of him...
I did manage to catch up with Bridgett and Leo yesterday. My own kids mostly slept through the visit.
Three things about Leo.
- He likes iced coffee. Or he likes drinking whatever his mom has in the cup...
- He likes to look at pictures of himself on the back of your camera. They learn this young.
- He found that he likes to hoist himself up onto the living room ottoman and launch himself into his mother's lap. He got pretty proficient at it, in fact. Pretty funny.
The Green Sweater. An essay in pictures. Mouse over for commentary.
- Here's the thing. I tried it on, poncho like, without seaming, and the neck is good.
- I added 2 inches and my hope is that it will stretch -- still a little short.
- I think that it will barber pole when I wear it. That might be bad. I'll seam it today and see.
- I love the color, but I really don't like the yarn. Rowan Summer Tweed is expensive enough that there shouldn't be 3 to 5 knots per hank. Now, I'm not much of a worrier about knots except on this scale because I tie them off and weave them in later. There are tons more ends to weave in than there should be. The problem lies in the fragility of the yarn, I guess. But still. Crabby making. And I can't seam with it so I'll have to look around for a match in my stash. Harumph.
A lot of people come to my blog to see pictures from Pickle Creek Conservation Area. I know which picture they come to see but I can't tell what they've searched for to find it (and when I search for things that seem logical, like Pickle Creek, my photos are deep deep down in the results). It kind of freaks me out.

Is SO a good picture of tiny fuzzy Monte. Thanks for reposting that--such a cutiepup!
Oh and I am jealous beyond description of Bridgett and Leo's morning chez Annie. She already blogged about it and I was green then. Ah me.
